Worth knowing
Report covers are colour coded by treatment status: gold for natural gems with no indication of enhancement beyond cutting and polishing, silver for enhanced natural gems, and black for synthetic or heavily treated gems. Origin opinions cover mainly ruby, sapphire, spinel, emerald and jadeite jade, are given only where testing provides sufficient evidence, and carry no separate charge.
